Spoiler alert - I didn’t see a shark 😅
I booked our kayaking cave tour through @getyourguide and we had a great experience!!
It was 80€ + a tip for a 2-hour experience and it was SO WORTH IT 🤘🏼
Also, this was my first time really using my new @gopro - what do you think?? 🤩
We have one more Portugal experience booked - it’s completely different than kayaking through caves (hint: 🍷) so let me know if you’d like to come along!! 🫶🏼

Not bad for a plan b 😮‍💨 We were supposed

Not bad for a plan b 😮‍💨
We were supposed to spend 5 days in Madeira aka “the Hawaii of Europe” 🦎
But a 5 hour delay turned into 6, then a cancellation 🙅🏻‍♀️🛩️🫠
With no other available flights to the island, we frantically messaged our Portuguese friend Fonzie (@theamaroadventure), who helped us find the fisherman village of Porto Covo
💭✨🐟
After the rush of Lisbon, Porto Covo’s empty beaches and sleepy town were exactly what we needed 🙏🏼
We spent our days relaxing on the beach, did a 4-mile coastal hike to a 14th century fort, and played lots of Phase 10 🍻
Hopefully we’ll make it to Madeira one day!! 👋🏼

On sabbatical ✌🏼 Every five years, Dom gets

On sabbatical ✌🏼
Every five years, Dom gets a month-long sabbatical from work and now that I'm self-employed, we're on sabbatical together! 🫶🏼✈️🇵🇹
Here’s a look at our first week in Portugal:
1. We didn’t make any plans for Lisbon.. we’ve just been wandering around, stopping whenever and wherever we want 🫶🏼 it’s been such a nice way to acclimate to a new country!
2. “This is a top 10 moment in life” 🥺🍻🌇
3. It is soooo nice to walk everywhere and be outside all the time ✨ it’s also nice that beer is only ~1.50€
4. No plans = a lot of time just chillin in green spaces 🌿
5. Our first dinner was tacos 🌮 and the best quesadilla we’ve ever had 🤤
6. We’re averaging 14,000 steps a day and very grateful for our able bodies 🙏🏼
7. 🤜🏻🧨
8. Have I mentioned that this is our first international trip?? Lisbon will always have a special place in our hearts 🫶🏼🍷
9. I had a lot of anxiety leading up to this trip… and now that we’re here, I’m finally able to relax. Jet lag is kicking my ass tho.. I’m sleeping ~11 hours a night 😮‍💨
10. This picture made me cry. I miss my baby so much but he is in good hands 🥹
I created a Portugal highlight and will continue to share more…. But for the next week, I’m going on vacation
