Hello friend!
1. The last time I emailed you, Dom and I were road-tripping through Southern Utah for our anniversary trip! We spent a night in Kanab, a night in Bryce Canyon National Park, and a couple of nights near Zion. We went mountain biking, hiking, and just had the best time celebrating six years of marriage together!
2. In true “us” fashion, we split the trip between camping and staying in a nice rental. We’ve been car camping for over ten years now, and I finally feel like I’ve nailed down our setup. If you’re gearing up for summer adventures and want a little packing inspo, here’s a look at all my favorite car camping gear.

4. If you’re curious about how I got into it or what gear I use, I just wrote a new blog post with all the details. You can check it out here: My Beginner Mountain Bike Journey (+ All My Gear)

8. What I’ve been loving lately:
- Pilates videos on Youtube. I’m still on my at-home Pilates routine and Isa Welly’s videos are still my favorite!
- Taylor Swift deep dives. Not to be dramatic, but I think about Taylor Swift every single day. I was craving someone to dissect her lyrics with… and then I remembered: YouTube! I found Ally Sheehan’s deep-dive on The Tortured Poets Department and went down the rabbit hole from there.
- The Pitt on Max. Dom and I binged this medical drama recently and were hooked. It gave me a huge dose of respect and admiration for nurses and doctors. Very intense, very good.
- Creating (and sharing) what brings me JOY. I’ve said it before, and I’ll keep saying it: the best kind of content — to create and to consume — is the kind that makes you happy. Like this carousel of kitty photos, haha. That’s the kind of energy I want to put out in the world!
- Chocolate coconut oat bars. I’ve shared this recipe before and I’m sharing it again because it’s that good. I like to add a scoop of chocolate protein powder for a little extra oomph. They’re perfect for a mid-afternoon pick-me-up or post-ride snack!
9. Looking ahead… I’m going to be the maid of honor in my best friend’s wedding (!!), and I’ve got a trip to Montana coming up to visit a new friend I met through Instagram. Life’s feeling full and I’m so grateful.
10. I finally updated my newsletter archive for the first time this year! You can now catch up on every edition of The Adventurous Homebody right here. Use password: clubmember
