Learning From The Stars | Adventurous Homebody Club

1. I hope you’ve had a good week! I’ve been home all week, and am here to report that it’s still summer in Phoenix — highs of 106°F. So, my only outdoor adventure was a day spent at the river!

2. My sweet friend Sara got us coffee and bagel sandwiches, and we spent our morning chatting and cooling off in the Lower Salt River. I’ve spent a lot of time by the river this summer, and I’m so grateful to live somewhere with water access. It’s made this hottest summer on record a little more bearable.

3. One of my favorite parts about a sunny day by the water? The after-adventure routine: Mexican food, a shower, and a nap on the couch. The cats and I binged season one of Yellowjackets, and it was SO GOOD!

5. Last week, I mentioned I was getting a business astrology reading, and it was amazing! I met with Jo from Cosmic Cowgirl for an hour and a half, and she taught me so much.

The reading was focused specifically on business. According to my birth chart (and my MC line in Pisces in the 9th House), I’m exactly where I need to be: communicating, sharing my wisdom, traveling, exploring, and helping others.

6. Unfortunately, my deep wounds (Chiron) are in Leo in the 2nd House, which means I struggle with feelings of not being “good enough” and insecurities around my worth and value.

Chiron also represents our greatest potential for healing. For me, healing comes when I:
  • Learn to appreciate and trust in my creative abilities and talents, regardless of external validation.
  • Embrace my unique gifts and allow myself to be seen, knowing my value isn’t tied to perfection or recognition.
  • Share my creativity with others in a way that aligns with my values, knowing that my worth isn’t dependent on how it’s received.

While I’d love to fully detach from worrying about how my work is received, I’m still sensitive to criticism. It’s something I’ve been working through in therapy, and I keep coming back to my boundaries and my “why.”

7. My “why” is simple: to inspire others to connect with nature. I like to think my work is more than just content creation; it’s about building a community of like-minded Adventurous Homebodies. I want to share my lived experience to help others expand their perspectives and find balance in their daily lives.

But idk… even just typing this out makes me worried about how it will be perceived. 😅

8. Now, I’m not going to keep yapping about astrology, but I will say this: it’s been such a fun and insightful tool for learning more about myself. If you want a free and easy way to understand your birth chart, head to astro.com then pop your chart into ChatGPT for more insight!

9.
10. I want to acknowledge that so many people are facing unimaginable challenges due to the recent natural disasters and conflicts happening in the world right now. My heart goes out to those impacted.

There are countless ways to support others, but this message is for YOU.

Please, take extra care of yourself right now.

If social media/the news is leaving you feeling anxious or upset, it’s okay to take a break and step away.

If the weight of the world feels like too much to bear, give yourself permission to feel those emotions. Crying is healing!

And remember that two conflicting emotions can exist at once! It’s important to acknowledge the hard stuff, but be sure to let yourself find moments of joy and connection.

You are allowed to seek light, even in the darkness.
Sending love! Jacey
