IDK what to say… | Adventurous Homebody Club

1. Wow, I disassociated so hard that I forgot to send a newsletter last week! January was a terrible month anyway, so happy February! Happy Black History Month! Happy month of love! I hope you are doing well, despite all the chaos.

2. My brain is spiraling with everything I want to say. But I can’t seem to get it out (online, at least). So, I’m going to keep this one light!

3. Let’s start with a book I loved and what we’re watching on TV:

  • 📖 I finished Brading Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer and loved it. I bounced back and forth between the physical book and the audiobook. I loved the audiobook for the narration and the physical book to re-read passages.
  • 📺 As recommended by a friend, Dom and I are watching Avatar: The Last Airbender on Netflix and I’m obsessed. It makes me laugh and is surprisingly deep for a kids show. We just finished season one!

4.
Since we last spoke, I shared a new YouTube video! A video edition of the Adventurous Homebody Club! Come check out my new (used) coffee cabinet, a desert camping trip, and the kind comments newsletter Club Members left me. 🤭

5. I also started my second semester of jewelry class! I’m taking the same silversmithing class I took last time, and so far, I’ve finished three new pieces! If you want to see some of my silversmithing work and listen to me talk about why I won’t be starting a jewelry businessthis video is for you!

6. Every single week I have to remind myself that two existing emotions can exist at once.

7. Also, I have to remind myself that real life exists (and is happening) outside of social media.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the noise, it’s okay to step away. The constant flood of information (especially in difficult times) is designed to be exhausting.

Taking a break isn’t ignoring the world; it’s making sure you have the energy to engage with it meaningfully. Take care of yourself and the people around you. Step outside. Let Mother Nature remind you that there’s still beauty, resilience, and connection beyond the screen.

8. I love this post from @climatediva, “This is your reminder that humans are not separate from nature…”

9. Looking ahead at the next couple of weeks, I’m still taking it slow. As I mentioned in January, I’m still waiting to celebrate the New Year until the spring equinox in March. I’m still taking time to reflect, recharge, and thoughtfully plan what I want to achieve in 2025!

As shocking as it may sound, I don’t have any trips planned! But work is starting to pick up, so until then, I’m enjoying my time at home.

10. I’m especially happy to be home because I have two of the cutest fluffy creatures living in my house!

We are all sending you love and a gentle reminder to spend some time outside today.
Sending love! Jacey
