Hello!

1. Happy October!!!

I love the start of a new month, especially October. It always feels so nostalgic and cozy… even if it’s still over 100 degrees here in Phoenix. 😭 This has been the hottest summer on record, and we just witnessed devastating storms out east. Our planet is in crisis.

2. Lately, I’ve been increasingly frustrated with the overemphasis on individual actions as the solution to big, systemic problems. YES, small, personal changes can make a difference. But why are we only focusing on individuals? What about the corporations? The unjust systems in place? The billionaires who hold so much influence?

3. My take? Do what you can to support your community, but the most critical individual action is to vote. November is around the corner, so please make sure you’re registered. Every vote counts!

4. While I usually avoid getting “political” online, the truth is — everything is political. If you don’t believe me, check out this brilliant video by @relauren about how politics touches almost every part of our daily lives.

5. In lighter news… I spent last weekend at my best friend’s bachelorette party in Sedona, and it was so wholesome and fun! Her friends are some of the kindest people, and we had the best time eating delicious food, hiking, dressing up as iconic women (I was Kim Possible), singing karaoke, and chatting about life.

6. One of my favorite topics that came up? Astrology! 🌙 I love using astrology as a tool for self-reflection — like therapy and antidepressants, it helps me make sense of my journey. If you’re ever curious to dive in, I always recommend the CHANI app and the book “Use Your Planets Wisely” by Jennifer Freed. Both take a psychological approach to astrology, which I love, and they’re super accessible for everyday life.

7. Speaking of astrology… lately, I’ve felt a bit lost in my career. So, I booked a session with an astrologer specializing in business and career readings! I’m excited to take a look at my birth chart through that lens and hopefully gain some clarity. I’ll let you know how it goes next week!

9. I’ve got two very exciting trips coming up, but until then, I’m soaking up every minute at home. And honestly, the best part about being home — besides the cats, my own bed, and my bidet — is getting to cook in my own kitchen.

Here’s whats on our menu this week:

10. As you head into your week, I’m sending you love and a gentle reminder to take time for yourself.

Whether it’s a long walk, picking up a new book, calling a loved one, thrifting, trying out a new recipe, planning a date night, or rewatching your favorite show — do something that fills your cup.

And remember: nothing is permanent, and you are deeply loved.
Sending love! Jacey
