Grateful (And A Little Hateful) | Adventurous Homebody Club

Hello friends!

1. With Thanksgiving this week (love the gratitude, hate the history of the holiday), I wanted to dedicate this newsletter to some things I’m grateful for:

2. My People (Including You!) — I’m endlessly thankful for my husband, friends, family, chosen family, and, of course, you, my online community! I’m incredibly lucky to be surrounded by so many kind, supportive, and inspiring people. To you, my digital friend, thank you for being here. Your kind messages, adventure stories, and support mean the world.

3. Being Alive at the Same Time as Taylor Swift — Taylor’s music has been a constant source of comfort and joy for me since I was a kid. And attending the Eras Tour in Amsterdam this summer? Highlight of my year. I am forever grateful for her and her art!

4. The Libby App — I’m generally grateful for audiobooks, but I’m especially grateful for Libby! If you have a library card, you can borrow audiobooks and e-books for free! Pro tip: Get multiple library cards so you have a wider selection of books to borrow!

5. That I Was Born in Arizona — Whenever I see the news, I’m reminded of the privilege of being born in the U.S. — and in beautiful Arizona, no less. While it’s far from perfect, I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had simply because of where I was born.

6. My HealthLiving with chronic back pain has taught me to truly appreciate my able body. It allows me to hike, bike, and do so many amazing things. I never take that for granted.

7. My Electric Mountain Bike — Speaking of amazing things, Dom and I went on a 19-mile bike ride this weekend, and I was reminded of how much I love my e-bike! It makes biking so much more accessible for me and allows me to spend more time outside.

8. Finding a Therapist I Love — I’ve seen my therapist almost weekly this year, and she’s been a light in my life. She’s helped me process trauma, navigate the quirks of my job, and even taught me more about astrology. I’m endlessly grateful for her!

9. Our TWO cats — This January, we adopted Toasty, and life has been so much better with her in it! She and Kelso are starting to coexist well (when they’re not chasing each other around the house, haha). They’re the most beautiful little souls, and I’m absolutely obsessed with them.

10. I know the holidays can be tough, so I hope this list inspires you to reflect on the things you’re grateful for — big or small. Thank you for being part of my life. I’m sending so much love your way this week.

Sending love! Jacey
