Hello friend!
1. I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I know the holidays can be tough for many, so before anything else, I’m sending you a big, warm hug. I also want to take a moment to say something important: I’m proud of you!
2. I’m proud of you for getting out of bed this morning, for showing up when it’s hard, and for finding little ways to keep going. I’m proud of you for working even though you didn’t feel like it, and for making this time of year magical for others — just don’t forget to make it magical for yourself, too!

4. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been feeling a bit burnt out. From the endless news cycles, the shopping, the gift guides, the holiday traffic, and especially social media. Anyone else??
5. If you’re also feeling overwhelmed, there’s an astrological reason behind it: Mars, the planet of action, energy, and drive, is currently in retrograde. It’s basically the universe’s way of saying: pause.
When Mars is retrograde, it encourages us to reflect on our goals, practice patience, rest and recharge.
The universe is literally giving us permission to slow down. Are you listening?? 👀
6. If you are also feeling overwhelmed, here are some ideas to take care of yourself this week:
- Spend time outside. Go on a walk or just bask in the sun. It’s free and just outside your door!
- Be intentional about joy. Take time to have a hot bath, watch a holiday movie, or revisit a hobby (or book/TV series) you love.
- Disconnect and log off. Mute or unfollow accounts that drain your energy or give you FOMO. Limit news consumption, and if you’ve been thinking about it, it’s time to finally delete Twitter.
- Feel your feelings. This season is often labeled “the happiest time of the year,” but it’s okay to feel sad, frustrated, or overwhelmed. Cry, vent, scream, rest — whatever you need.

8. Inspired by the season of reflection, I’ve made the decision to move this newsletter to a bi-weekly schedule.
I know this might be disappointing for some of you, and I want you to know how much I appreciate the love and encouragement you’ve given me.
Writing these emails has been one of the highlights of my year. It’s been a safe space for me to share thoughts on personal growth, mental health, and self-love, and your feedback has truly meant the world to me.
9. This change is part of a bigger dream: pursuing my goals as a YouTube creator. I’ve been needing more time and energy to focus on making videos, and this adjustment will help me take the next step. Thank you for being here, for supporting me, and for cheering me on. 🥺🫶🏼
10. If there’s one thing I hope you take away from this week’s newsletter, it’s this: Give yourself permission to slow down, set boundaries, and love yourself a little more.
You are doing so much better than you think!
Sending love! Jacey
